About Coeliac NSW/ACT
Coeliac NSW/ACT was established in 1974 to provide support to those with coeliac disease or another medical need for a gluten free diet. We are here to provide you with information and support.
The drop in centre is located a short walk from Waitara Railway Station. Plenty of unrestricted street parking is available in Yardley Avenue and Unwin Road.
We are open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Office Staff
David Sullivan has recently joined us as Executive Officer. He brings to the position almost 20 years of executive management experience in the not-for-profit sector (PR, fundraising, strategic development and business planning), along with his personal passion to drive improvements for those diagnosed with coeliac disease. As well as having responsibility for the Coeliac NSW/ACT, David will manage the work we do for Coeliac Australia.
Penny Dellsperger is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has coeliac disease.
Jenny Harris is the editor of The Australian Coeliac magazine.
Diane Coleman is our organiser and keeps us all in order! Diane is a fabulous cook and has a sister with coeliac disease.
Sue Black is employed part time to assist with member services. Sue also edits the travel section of the magazine and is a fabulous cook. Sue has coeliac disease, as does one of her daughters.
Annabel Mackenzie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian employed part time. Annabel is currently managing the endorsement program.
Dietetic Services
Coeliac NSW/ACT employs Specialist Coeliac Dietitians who are available for patient consultations from our office in Waitara. Individual nutrition advice is provided to help you manage your gluten free diet, eat better and be healthier.
This specialised service is only available to current members of Coeliac NSW/ACT. As a service to members, appointment are available at a special affordable rate:
Initial consult $100 (pension rate $70)
Follow up consult $60 (pension rate $50)
