The Coeliac Society Handbook

This handbook is available to members of The Coeliac Society and has been designed to be of practical assistance to help give you the knowledge and understanding necessary for you, or your family member who needs a gluten free diet to keep in good health. Doctors, dietitians, people with coeliac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis and other volunteers have contributed their time and expertise to make this handbook a reality.

Your life and your food habits will need some modification. These changes may seem overwhelming at first, but rest assured that as your knowledge increases, you will find that choosing foods for a gluten free diet becomes easier. This handbook will help you understand coeliac disease from a medical point of view, and will give you practical advice on coping with the gluten free diet.
