Eating out with family and friends

Visiting friends and family can have its challenges when following a strict gluten free diet. All friends have the best intentions, however, the importance of avoiding cross-contamination is not always understood.

Contamination of gluten free food can happen by using the same spoon to stir GF products as was used for foods containing gluten, flour dust in the air or a crumb in the butter. It is wise to always carry some emergency gluten free snacks for when nothing else is available.

Please call us if you wish to receive a copy of the document Living Gluten Free - a practical outline for family and friends.
