Coeliac Western Australia

Coeliac Western Australia is a not-for-profit membership organisation providing support services for people affected by coeliac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis and others who medically require a gluten free diet. It provides accurate up-to-date gluten free dietary information.

Our primary aim is to enhance the quality of life for individuals requiring a gluten free diet. We do this through providing information and support as well as raising awareness and providing education across the community.

Coeliac Western Australia was founded in 1979 with fifty-six members. Today there are over two-thousand members and with 1 in 100 individuals having coeliac disease, this number is expected to increase.

Coeliac Western Australia is partially funded by the Department of Health, other sources of our operating funds include membership subscriptions, donations and advertising payments. All funds are directed to improving the lives of people with Coeliac Disease.

Becoming a member of Coeliac Western Australia provides individuals with access to our information and services and contributes to education and research.
