Coeliac Western Australia Membership

Coeliac Western Australia aims to enhance the quality of life for all people requiring a gluten free diet. This is achieved through providing information and support to members as well as raising awareness and providing education across the community.

New members are provided with a Great Start resource kit. This includes:

  • Coeliac Australia’s Handbook
  • Coeliac Australia’s Recipe Book
  • Coeliac Australia’s Ingredient List for label reading
  • Information on gluten free foods and eating out in WA
  • A back issue of The Australian Coeliac

Great Start workshops and supermarket tours are ideal for anyone who is newly diagnosed or needs a refresher. These are run every couple of months - see the Events page for further details.

Coeliac Western Australia also provides opportunities for members to network and keep up-to-date. Members can purchase resources and publications at any time.

How to Join

Membership is available to:

  • individuals with a diagnosis of coeliac disease
  • individuals with a diagnosis of dermatitis herpetiformis
  • individuals who have the support of their GP or specialist to follow a gluten free diet.

Your medical practitioner must support your application by signing your membership form or providing separate documentation that confirms one of the above. The standard doctor's letter can be used for this.

Applications can be sent, faxed or brought to the office.

Associate membership is available for the following professional groups:

  • Dietitian/Nutritionist
  • Retailers
  • Caterer/Restauranteur
  • Alternative Health Practitioner

Fees and Pricing Information

Membership fees to June 2012 are outlined below. Concessions are available to members who hold a valid health care card or pensioner concession card. The new member fee includes a new member kit and your membership subscription.

Coeliac WA recently re-introduced pro-rata membership fees, for details please contact the office.
